Wago's RS-232/SMI interface is part of their family of building automation components and makes uniform control and communication of SMI-compliant electrical drives possible. This DIN-rail mountable interface module controls up to 16 SMI blind/shutter drives. It supports the full range of SMI functions, including open/close and stop commands, moving to any position, slat angle adjustment and motor/blind position feedback. An I/0-System controller, a serial interface and an SMI interface module perform the communication. A standard bus system is used to link SMI functions.

Re-engineered Cable Connectors

with laser-printed pin identification

Franz Binder re-engineered its M8 cable connector 768 series with screw clamp contacts. The overall dimensions remained unchanged. On the other hand, the contact geometry of the 3 and 4-pole cable connectors and cable sockets has been modified. A laser-printed pin identification has been added. These cable connectors fulfill IP67 when mated and locked.
